LASH CARE

RIGHT AFTER SERVICE:
Make sure you keep your lashes away from
sweat, water, or extreme humidity for the first 24 to 48 hours.
This ensures that the glue has dried completely,
preventing from your eyes becoming irritable from the glue if wet, and it ensures a long-lasting set/fill.

HOW DO I SHOWER WITHIN THE FIRST 24-48 HOURS?
Some clients use water goggles. some sit on the tub, some are just really good at avoiding the water on their face.
For the most part, you can continue your regular shower routines,
so long as you avoid direct water contact on your eyes & lashes for the first 24 hours.

DURATION:
Everyone's body, skin, and hair cycle is different, therefor everyone will have different results.
Lashes can last anywhere from 2-4 weeks before you need a re-fill.
The better you treat your lashes, the more likely your extensions will last longer.

SHEDDING:
Due to our lash cycles, our natural lashes are constantly shedding every day.
On average, it is completely normal to lose anything from 2-5 natural lashes per day!

FAQ

ALLERGIES
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN IRRITABILITY Vs AN ALLERGIC REACTION? HOW WILL I KNOW?
The difference could be hard to tell as some of the symptoms might be the same. EX: red puffy eyes, itchiness, tightness, watering, burning sensation.
However, the key to telling which is which, is time. Here are some cues that could help:

  • Irritants can be normal and do not cause the immune system to react. In most cases, irritation will go away after 24 hours and should get better as time passes.

  • Allergic Reaction may not appear until several hours or even days after exposure to the allergen, making it difficult to work out the cause of the problem. In order to develop an allergy, you have to be exposed to the allergen more than once and repeatedly.

  • Treating the reaction: THE FOLLOWING ADVICE SHOULD NOT REPLACE PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE. If your Irritation or Reaction gets worse, please seek medical help. In the meantime, you can take an antihistamine medication that can be purchased Over The Counter at your local pharmacy.

BURNING
WILL MY EYES BURN WHEN I WASH MY FACE?
It's a common reaction to have a little sensitivity or irritability the first time your eyes come in contact with water after a lash session.  This is due to the lingering fumes in the adhesive. Feel free to drop in a few moisturizing eye drops found OTC in your local drug store.

DAMAGING
ARE LASH EXTENSIONS BAD OR DAMAGING TO NATURAL LASHES?
Technically no, but that depends on so many things! I've been getting Lash Extensions for the past 4 years with very little breaks and my natural lashes are still going strong. Here are my two biggest tips: ONE: Go to a professional or a certified artists; someone who knows what their doing and knows the safe methods of applying lashes. TWO: Know that you are fully responsible for the day-to-day care of your lashes. Treat them like precious babies, follow all the tips mentioned, and you should have good and healthy lashes, both faux & natural.

DRYING
WHAT CAN I DRY MY LASHES WITH?
Tap your lashes with a non-fiber/ lint free rag, or use face a fan! Remember to brush your lashes with a lash brush after your lashes get wet.

MASCARA
CAN I APPLY MASCARA TO THE LASH EXTENSIONS?
You can, but . . .
Lash extensions are designed to give your natural lashes a fuller/enhanced look. If you are constantly feeling like you need to add mascara to your extensions, lets talk about going thicker or fuller. Applying any kind of product directly to your lashes, will affect the strength and duration of your lash extensions adhesive.

MATERIAL
WHAT ARE YOUR LASHES MADE OF?
My lashes are made of premium faux mink.

PREVIOUS LASHES
I ALREADY HAVE LASH EXTENSIONS FROM A PREVIOUS ARTIST? CAN I BOOK YOU? DO I HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE?
Yes, you can book me. Though I'd hate to think I'm stealing anyone, I'm happy to fill your lashes. Your Amount Due will depend of how many lashes you have on at the time of service.

SWIMMING
CAN I SWIM WITH LASH EXTENSIONS?
AFTER you've waited 24-48 hours from your lash appointment, you're free to swim and do all the sports and activities that your heart desires. Just remember that the more pressure you put on your lashes, the shorter they will last.

SHOWER
HOW DO I SHOWER WITHIN THE FIRST 24-48 HOURS?
Some clients use water goggles, some sit on the tub, some are just really good at avoiding the water on their face.
For the most part, you can continue your regular shower routines, so long as you avoid direct water contact on your eyes & lashes for the first 24 hours.

TANGLING
WHAT DO I DO IF MY LASHES GET TANGLED?
To avoid tangling, you should be brushing your lashes with your lash brush 1-2 times daily. Brush after waking up, and brush after showering or washing face. Most tangles ca be easily undone by gently brushing your lashes with a lash-brush.
